IATF (international automotive task force) is a specialized organization established in 1996 by the world's major automobile manufacturers and associations. Based on the combination of ISO 9001:2000 standard and the approval of ISO / TC176, the ISO / TS16949:2002 standard is formulated. In 2009, it was updated to ISO / TS16949:2009. The latest standard currently implemented is iatf16949:2016.
Its development process is as follows:
IATF has coordinated three European specifications VDA6.1 (Germany), avsq (Italy), eaqf (France) and QS-9000 (North America). Based on the combination with ISO9001:2000 and the approval of ISO / TC176, IATF has formulated the ISO / TS16949:2002 specification.
On March 1, 2002, ISO and IATF published the international technical specification for automobile quality ISO / TS16949:2002, which is applicable to the supply chain of parts and service parts produced by the whole automobile industry, including the whole vehicle factory. The 2002 version of ISO / TS16949 has come into force, and certification work has been carried out.
On April 24, 2002, Ford, general motors and Chrysler held a press conference in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., announcing a unified quality system specification to be adopted by suppliers, which is ISO / TS16949. If the supplier is not certified by ISO / TS16949, it will also be disqualified as a supplier.
At present, French car manufacturers such as Citroen, Peugeot, Renault and Nissan have forced their suppliers to pass ISO / TS16949 certification.
In 2019, Shenzhen baiqiancheng Electronics Co., Ltd. passed IATF16949. We have strict production standards and strict quality inspection standards. If you want to know more about PCBA manufacturing, please contact us.
